designs . . . evolving . . .

Whilst in Florida I took my 'Stitchamaze Yourself Designs' painted canvases to Kandy of Alex-Paras in St. Petersburg, and she loved them!

She also said that she would plan to have me teach a class in Canvas Collage with "Flight of Fancy".

However, due to the size of the piece, it was felt that a smaller version would be more workable for a face to face class.

Sharon Lee produced the smaller version which we named "Mini Blossom".

Clemmie Rounds, in consult with me, beautifully stitched the first "Mini Blossom", and it is magnificent!

Sharon Lee was so enchanted with the Mini Blossom that she painted a "Mini Blossom Purse" which she then stitched . . . and it's truly wonderful! (I hope to be able to stitch it myself one day.)

Finally, I decided to stitch "Flight of Fancy" myself! This is a real challenge because I wanted to keep the integrity of the original embellishment and at the same time, breathe new life into the piece.

I've used Canvas Collage embellishment, Delica Beads for the bird, and lots of new and interesting stitches..

March 2008 - Ruth Schmuff of Bedecked and Beadazzled invited me to run a "Flight of Fancy" cyberclass from her website for the second year running. I am so excited to be venturing into this 'aspect' of teaching my Canvas Collage.
