The story of "Harpers"

During my fashion career, Harper's magazine, both the American and British versions were required and desired reading. I'm always drawn to a canvas that is part of my life story. Finding a needlepoint canvas painted as a Harper's magazine cover was so much fun.

I "designed" the knitted coat fabric and the wooly looped collar, all in wool. Even the background was stitched to imitate woven woolen fabric. This was a rather simple piece that I could relax with in rare quiet moments.
