Nosegay"

|
|
A beautiful boquet of violets,
Quaker Ladies and Tic-Trefoils clustered together over a white lace
doily in a silver and pewter Tussie-Mussie make this glorious "Victorian
Nosegay". A great selection of stitches are used in the piece
including Rhodes, Jessicas, Fleur-de-lis Crescents, Cast on Buliions
and more. Pullled Work and Needlelace are two techniques taught
in this piece.
|
Tony writes: "Aren't
we a lucky group of people to have found such an all-consuming passion
as fine art needlework. We have been given the opportunity to create
beautiful pieces of artwork using thread as our medium and leave
a wonderful legacy of our time on earth. I have the added privilege
of being a national teacher who gets to touch on many stitcher's
lives and become a part of their stitching education. I take my
job very seriously but hope not so serious that my students aren't
having fun while they learn.
A big thank you to Rosalyn for this
wonderful website."

"Stars for a
New Millenium" - Booklet
|
|
Stars
for a New Millennium is a study in color, texture, stitch and
thread. It was originally designed after a year of color, stitch
and thread notebook classes at The Edwardian Needle. Each square
in this pattern is based on a traditional star quilt pattern and
is named after a movie star from Hollywood's Golden Age.
The instruction booklet is 96 pages, with each of the 12 squares
(and the borders and corners) completely charted for you, including
a full-color master chart for each square. The individual stitches
are thoroughly charted and explained.
Also -
Pam Miller of The Edwardian Needle has a supply of Tony’s
chapter for Amy Bunger’s Cookbook of Stitches. Tony has autographed
the copies of his "Tied Stitches" chapter.
