"At the time that Wendy asked me to create this piece for Lucas I was creating collages on paper with photos, magazine pictures, and fabric and I was beginning to experiment with canvas collage. Lucas, 0 to 3 is a paper and fabric collage. It's the final one that I've done on paper and has become important as the transition to my working on canvas.
