Stitchamaze yourself designs- painted canvases

My new range of "Stitchamaze Yourself Designs"

Many of you have expressed interest in stitching my personal designs. I always enjoy hearing from you and listening to your requests which have actually encouraged my direction and my website's growth! As much as I hope to inspire and teach, we are all learning together.

You have given me the inspiration to create a select group of hand painted canvases. These canvases are developed from designs both by me and now others too! They have been interpreted and painted by Sharon Lee.

I'm very excited about Sharon Lee's paintings! . . . she has been able to retain the mood and accuracy of the pieces while combining her unique painting style. The special beauty of these canvases is that they have a huge scope for your own interpretation of the piece. Each completed canvas is unique.

New - March 2008: We have 2 new designs soon to be added to the collection. Please contact Sharon Lee with your interest in her painting any of these canvases for you:

"My work is very spontaneous and tactile... I begin with a brief concept and develop the design, textures, contrasts and surprises as I proceed. I often say that I thread the needle and the work takes on a life of its own!"

"Needlepoint, being a flat medium, governed by a fixed grid or canvas, limits the possibilities of threads that can be used and realism that can be created. I create my pieces around these restrictions, creating flow of movement, textural up and down surfaces, and I take the shape and threads where I want them to be placed".
