Fan-C-Ful - in progress:

This piece is a Judy Souliotis workshop. The piece features Gold Leaf painting. Judy did the painting on each canvas beforehand and then demonstrated the technique. Although it looks beautiful, I don't plan to paint on canvas at this time, as I prefer to get the same 'look' with gold metallic thread and stitching.

Judy Souliotis' class:
I attended a two day class held for the Sun Stitchers, Sarasota, with Judy. The piece seen here on Judy's website, was Fan-C-Ful, which is "filled with flowers and the graceful curves of water lines set on an oriental fan. An array of surface stitches of silk and the incorporation of metals in subtle tones brought the flowers to life".

Judy is a great teacher and we all enjoyed the classes enormously.
