The story of "Roosting"

I love to read when I eat. This is a habit that I developed as a pre-teenager.

One day, I was enjoying eating my breakfast cereal and reading the print on the cereal box. I awoke from my munching reverie and read the invitational offer to send away for embroidery. The offer was for a stamped linen picture, complete with all threads and instructions. Excitedly, I mailed the order form and the money (probably one Canadian dollar) at that time.

I stitched this piece as soon as all of the wonderful texture and colour arrived at my house with the mailman. It's the earliest piece in my collection, probably being stitched when I was twelve years old.
