Welcome to 'stitch-talk' . . .
My 'mission' with 'stitchamaze' is to exhibit Needlepoint Art, mine and yours, and to share the joys and news of the Needlepoint world. I hope you'll enjoy spending some time here.

My special news is that Ruth Schmuff of Bedecked and Beadazzled has invited me again this year to offer you my "Flight of Fancy" as one of the wonderful cyber classes she is holding. It will begin on April 1, 2008 and I look forward to meeting you then!

Mary J Wright took this cyber-class last time and sent me the picture of her piece. Mary wrote: "Here is the result of the Flight of Fancy Cyber Class. The canvas is so beautiful and was such a joy to stitch. Thank You." Mary Wright. Do have a look at her beautiful completed piece, and this detail!

I recently received a wonderful email from Canadian Fiber Artist Ellen Collington, and we've been looking forward to showing you her amazing quilted interpretation of Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss".

Ellen wrote that she was excited to see my needlepoint interpretation of "The Kiss", and created a fascinating comparison by sending me four images of her quilted work. It was SO lovely to see how sensitively and skillfully she has worked this extraordinary piece.

Ellen writes "I absolutely love Rosalyn's work! I have embroidered all my life, but have not had an opportunity to explore really advanced or experimental techniques until quite recently.

I belonged to Brant Broideres for a couple of years. Hamilton has a wonderful Quilters Guild, of which I am currently president, but no embroidery guild.

I took classes with Beany and Littlejohn when they were at the Wellington County Museum last summer. Wonderful! And have done a couple of sessions with Sybil Rampen as well."

Thankyou SO much Ellen for this lovely contribution!

pieces in work
This section of my website shows you some of my 'pieces in work'. Many of you ask how they are progressing and I really enjoy showing you! This time you can see "The Tribe", "Drama Masks", "As I Sit and Ponder", a new piece: "In a Garden Kimono" and my newest canvas is a very special one - "Wind Dynamics"! With permission from the original artist, Dianne Bersea, Sharon Lee has painted a canvas tryptich for me to needlepoint! I am so thrilled to be working on it and will be showing you some images of my progress in due course!
